Just when I thought I couldn’t love C2C more than I already did this video happens to come out.
I’ve listened to this song so much and had no idea what they were commenting on until this, shameful enough to say.
French music always bringing me joy.
I was surprised to see none of Jay Chi’s work has been featured on Behance.
Definitely one in exhibition/experience design that I think is certainly worth mentioning. The art direction and concept work of Nike stores typically has a certain aura. The work in Nike Greater China is no exception here, especial with the year of the snake and dragon examples.
Simple Solutions vs. Easy Solutions
Some people confuse finding simple solutions with finding easy solutions. In design, neither of those people are wrong, but the people who set out to find easy solutions are either idiots or just ignorant.
It’s been a while since I posted, but I can’t not highlight Januz Miralles and this body of work. It’s outstanding and has an incredible tone. Definitely worth checking out the rest.
Being in a city with a ton of food trucks and carts – I feel especially appreciative of a truck with great typography to accompany food that I hope tastes as good as the end result looks. Not to mention I’m a sucker for black and white compositions.

This video was oddly inspiring today.

I’ve been a bit curious about this look for a while, I finally decided to take a stab at it real quick.
Serial Cut in Madrid is definitely one of my favorite studios. I’ve started to notice a lot of the work for the places that interest me most often seem to be creating out of the country. Though they do often have different offices around the world.
Serial Cut teamed up with Saatchi & Saatchi L.A. to create this overflowing with color and variety Prius V Campaign.
They were also generous to have a making of website and video, through which even in the brief seconds I was able to learn quite a bit about workflow and how they were using Cinema4D.
A large part I enjoy this is because of the process, for a while I was wondering if it was all a composition of 3D but after seeing the process I really enjoyed that it was there was a lot of photography involved, combined with 3D assets. Top-notch work.
Prius V Making Of
Completed by production studio Ars Thanea for GE and TBWA\DAN\Shanghai, this project really gets to the core of the type of work that makes me inspired to create. The volume and obvious footprint of solid teamwork and coordination are confidently illustrated in this wide campaign. I could go on about the caliber of the illustrative technique but I’m sure you can view it for yourself as well.
Similarly, the story told in the interactive section is equally powerful and the entire campaign ties perfectly together stylistically.
